Common faults of the brake system include the following:
Brake failure: It may be due to oil or air leakage in the brake pipe, cracked or detached pipe joints, failure of brake sealing elements, etc. The treatment method includes checking and repairing the connection between the brake pedal and the brake master cylinder, ensuring that there is sufficient brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir, and checking and repairing the oil leakage.
No return: Damage to the master cylinder and sub-cylinder components of the air brake or rust inside the brake sub-cylinder may cause this problem. The treatment method includes cleaning rust and impurities and replacing damaged parts.
Brake drag: The brake pedal has no free travel, the return spring is damaged, and the master cylinder or sub-cylinder failure may cause brake drag. The solution is to disassemble the components, remove rust, and lubricate.
Poor braking effect: It may be due to failure of the main brake pump, auxiliary brake cylinder problem, brake system failure, air infiltration in the brake pipe, etc. Diagnosis can be performed by checking the travel and feel of the brake pedal.
Sudden brake failure: It may be due to lack of brake fluid in the main brake pump, damaged seals, damaged distributor seals or damaged brake pipes. The solution is to check whether the brake fluid is sufficient and repair or replace damaged parts.
Brake adhesion: The brake pedal free travel is missing, the return spring problem, the main brake pump internal parts are stuck, etc. The solution is to check and adjust the free travel and check the oil return.
Brake deflection (one-sided braking): The brake deflection may be caused by inconsistent clearance between the front wheel brake drum and the friction plate on both sides, problems with the front wheel brake cylinder or pipeline, and deformation of the frame. The solution is to check and adjust the clearance and check the frame and front wheel alignment parameters.
Brake drum heating: It may be due to problems with the master brake cylinder, slave cylinder or pipeline. The solution is to check and repair related parts.
Pedal free travel problem: If the pedal free travel is too large or too small, it needs to be adjusted.
Brake fluid level problem: If the brake fluid level rises slowly, it may be that the brake shoe is not returning to its original position well, and the oil pipe needs to be cleared or the slave cylinder needs to be checked.
